Lady Tigers Hang On For Win

Clarksville, Ark.- East Texas Baptist University hung on for a 3-1 victory over the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks ends the season with a 7-10-2 overall record and a 4-9-0 ASC mark. Ozarks’ seven wins are a program best. The Lady Tigers (11-6-2, 7-4-2) scored in the 11th minute and again in the 23rd minute to take a 2-0 lead at halftime. The Lady Eagles had a strong second half, recording 8 shots, and cut the deficit to 2-1. Savannah Munger scored in the 58th minute to make things interesting. However, East Texas Baptist would secure the win with a goal in the 63rd minute. Ozarks had 11 shots in the match, with Laura Spruiell tallying 5 of those. Heather Dryden had the lone assist. Ozarks keeper Olivia Fisher batted off several balls and finished with 10 saves.
