Clarksville, Ark.-UT-Dallas reeled off a 12-4 run late in the first half and kept the momentum for the remainder of the game as they gained a 82-60 win over the Lady Eagles on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Both teams battled back-and-forth in the first half, with neither team holding more than a six point lead in the first 16 minutes of play. However, the Comets (12-9, 8-8) turned a 35-29 lead at the 3:22 mark into a 44-33 advantage at the half. The Lady Eagles (1-20, 1-15) committed 15 turnovers in the first half to make if difficult to get into any offensive rhythm.

In the second half, UT-Dallas got off to a quick start, holding a 50-35 lead three minutes into it. From there, the Comets held a double-digit lead the rest of the way. Ozarks had trouble offensively in the second half shooting only 33 percent from the field. They also shot an uncharacteristic 60 percent from the free throw line in the game.

Chandra Briggs led Ozarks with 13 points and had a team-high 5 assists. Molly Patterson added 10 points.

Ozarks will host Mississippi College on February 14.
