CLARKSVILLE, Ark.-The U of O Eagles (10-18, 5-14) baseball team fell 10-3 to the University of Texas-Dallas (21-10, 13-6) in American Southwest Conference play on Friday afternoon in Clarksville.

The Eagles will continue their ASC East Division series with UT-Dallas in a double-header tomorrow beginning at 12:00 p.m. A ceremony honoring Ozarks’ seniors will take place at 11:45 a.m. prior to the first contest. The Eagles were unable to pull out a comeback after facing an 8-0 deficit going into the seventh inning. The Eagles got on the board for the first time in the bottom of the seventh after a Chris Harrell double knocked in Rusty Farrin. The Eagles scored twice more in the eighth when Anthony Brandon and Brian Heckmann each knocked in a run. With one out and the score 10-3 in favor of the Comets, the Eagles rally fell short after UT-Dallas pitcher Fielding Lewis recorded back-to-back strikeouts to end the game. Heckman and Brandon paced Ozarks with two hits apiece. Dustin Cole (1-3) received the loss.
