Jessica Baumgartner (left) has been promoted to director of human resources at University of the Ozarks. In addition, Savannah Sisson has been promoted to the position of payroll administrator within the Office of Human Resources.
Both personnel changes go into effect today, April 1.
Baumgartner has served as assistant director of human resources since December of 2022.
The recipient of the 2021 Arnie G. Sims Outstanding Staff Award, Baumgartner joined Ozarks in February of 2016 as the office manager for the Division of Business, Communication and Education. She transitioned to the executive suite in July of 2019
“Jessica is truly committed to the wellbeing of our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Tanner McKnight, vice president for finance and administration. “Her commitment to our students and employees is apparent in how she handles each conversation with compassion. I am thankful for her willingness to serve Ozarks in this capacity.”
Sisson has served as the office coordinator in the Office of Administrative Services since joining the University in December of 2023.
“Savannah has been managing the University’s work-study payrolls since December 2023,” McKnight said. “I am excited to have her serve our faculty, staff, and students in this greater capacity through our HR office. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude will be a great fit in this role.”
