The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.
Despite this, Ozarks is aiming to roll out financial aid packages within two weeks of receiving FAFSA information.

University honors top academic students; Binns wins Hurie Award

University of the Ozarks presented its top division and university academic awards on Wednesday, May 3, during the 60th annual Academic Awards Day ceremony, held in the Walton Fine Arts Center.

"SamuelSamuel Binns, a senior English major from Hot Springs, Ark., was presented the Hurie Award as the outstanding member of the Class of 2017 by University President Richard Dunsworth.

Samuel Binns, a senior English major from Hot Springs, was presented with the prestigious 2017 Hurie Award, which goes to the top graduating senior. Named for former Ozarks President Wiley Lin Hurie, the award is selected by the faculty and given to the outstanding member of the senior class.

Binns is graduating on May 13 with Summa Cum Laude honors. He has served as president of the student organizations Amnesty International and Wordsmiths and is a past champion of Project Poet.
