Clarksville, Ark.-For the second time this year, the University of the Ozarks athletic department is being featured on the NCAA Division III Special Olympics web site for its participation in a Special Olympics event.

Emily Black’s story, which featured U of O student-athletes and members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) assisting at the Special Olympics Unified Softball Tournament in Clarksville, is one of three articles in the Special Olympics Spotlight Poll.

Stories from Ozarks, Gustavus Adolphus College and Bridgewater College will compete for a $500 prize during the month of November through a fan voting contest. The story with the highest number of votes (ending November 25) is the winner. The winning institution receives $500 towards its next Special Olympics event.
