Clarksville, Ark. ---University of the Ozarks will host the 27th annual Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM) regional mathematics contest, scheduled for Saturday, March 12.
More than 100 students from area schools are expected to compete in five categories: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. The testing will begin at 10 a.m. and will be followed by an awards ceremony. The top three finishers in each category automatically qualify for the state mathematics competition scheduled for April.
