U of O Rotaract Sponsors Book Drive

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. --- The University of the Ozarks Rotaract Club, in partnership with the Clarksville Rotary and the Clarksville High School Interact Club, will be collecting donations of children's books for the Johnson County Head Start/Child Development, Inc.

The book drive is scheduled for March 28 through April 6 and books can be dropped off at the following locations: U of O Seay Student Center, Farmers Bank, Clarksville High School, Johnson Chevrolet, Regions Bank, Westside High School, Westside Elementary, Simmons Bank or the Clarksville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. ??? The books will be used in the Johnson County Head Start/Child Development lending library, where children can check the books out and take them home. The donated books can be either new or used, as long as they are in good condition. For more information on the book drive, contact Sherry Davis at U of O (979-1300). ??? The Rotaract Club is an international organization of service that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace. Rotaract is for men and women ages 18-30. The U of O Rotaract Club is currently involved in several projects, including the Johnson County Single Parents Scholarship Fund, Habitat for Humanity and volunteering at the Clarksville Elementary School.
