Clarksville, Ark. --- University of the Ozarks' Munger Chapel will be the site of a Low Brass Concert by the University of Arkansas's Music Department at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 3.

The concert is free and open to the public. The University of Arkansas Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, under the direction of Benjamin Pierce, is made up of eight tuba and euphonium players. The group consists principally of music majors, although non-majors are welcome to participate. The ensemble strives to perform a variety of music, including choral and orchestral transcriptions as well as original works for the tuba/euphonium ensemble medium. Many of the pieces are performed with the full ensemble and involve doubling, while some pieces are played one per part in true chamber music fashion. The ensemble performs each semester on the U of A campus. Additionally, the group has been featured at the 2007 Great Plains Regional Tuba/Euphonium Conference and the 2005 Midwest Regional Tuba/Euphonium Conference. The ensemble commissioned and premiered Sy Brandon’s Suite Francaise Moderne in 2004. For more information on the concert, please contact Dayna Hilton at 479-754-8652 or daynark@gmail.com.
