Three new first-time members have been elected to the University of the Ozarks' Board of Trustees.
Sister Judith Marie Keith of Fort Smith, Ark.; Patrick "Pat" Clifford of Tyler, Texas; and Malcolm Hall of Nichols Hills, Okla., were elected to the Class of 2017 during the annual fall board meeting, held Oct. 4 on the U of O campus. Their three-year terms begin on Jan. 1, 2015.
In addition, four current members of the board were re-elected to a second term: Judy Borck, Laurie Fisher, Sue Frueauff and Susan Pinson. The trustees also elected Dr. Judy Boreham as chair of the board beginning Jan. 1.
Sister Keith served as the president and chief operating officer of St. Edward Mercy Health Network in Fort Smith from 1970 to 1997. From 1997 to 2010 she served as the executive director for the Trinity Educational Trust, which oversaw the strategic planning and development for Trinity Catholic Junior High School in Fort Smith. She currently serves as a strategic planning consultant for Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock. A graduate of Mount St. Mary, Sister Keith earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University. She has won numerous awards and honors, including Top 100 Women in Arkansas Award, Arkansas Professional Women of Distinction Award, 2010 Jack White Community Leadership Award, Woman of Distinction Award from the Mount Magazine Girl Scout Council, the A. Allen Weintraub Memorial Award and the J. Fred Patton Community Leadership Award.
