Clarksville, Ark.-Texas Lutheran University held on to a 2-1 American Southwest Conference win over the Eagles Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (4-1-1, 2-0-1 ASC) opened the match with a goal less than two minutes into play. Lalo Ramirez managed to tap one past an Ozarks defender and its goalkeeper to gain a 1-0 lead. A sluggish Ozarks (0-5-1, 0-3-0 ASC) defense allowed another goal in the 14th minute to fall behind 2-0 in the first half.

The Eagles played much better in the second half, creating five shots, including a goal in the 48th minute to pull within 2-1. Travis Leach cleaned up a David Cortes free kick to put life back into the Eagles. But the Bulldogs defense held off each Ozarks’ attack to secure the win.

Andrew Cummings started in goal and recorded two saves. Jarret Sadler saw 76 minutes in goal and had one save.
