Texas Lutheran Has Big Sixth Inning

Clarksville, Ark.-Texas Lutheran University used a five-run sixth inning to take control of a 2-2 tie and finish with a 7-3 win over the Eagles Friday afternoon.

Ozarks (2-9) held a 2-1 lead after four, but the Bulldogs (5-4) evened the score 2-2 in the top of the fifth. After holding the Eagles scoreless in the bottom of the fifth, Texas Lutheran rallied for five runs in the sixth behind five hits and two Ozarks’ errors. Michael Prusator singled in a run in the bottom of the frame, but the Eagles wouldn’t score again.

Sam Brownwood (1-1) took the loss after tossing five innings as the starter.

Prusator and Freddy Prince each had two hits.

The series concludes tomorrow with a double-header starting at 12:00 p.m.
