Tennis Teams Pick Up Conference Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's and women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 and 7-0 win over Austin College over the weekend.

Taylor Dodds, Zach Schiff, Reggie Brasfield, Charter Xaykaothao, Fuyei Xaykaothao and Cesar Herrera picked up wins in singles matches. Julie Richardson, Karie Allen, Debbie Giesecke and Holly Rexroat each had wins in singles action. The doubles tandem of Dodds and Charter Xaykaothao recorded a victory. Herrera and Fuyei Xaykaothao also recorded a win in doubles. Giesecke and Tami Higdon picked up a win in doubles action. Rexroat and Mandy Hock also were victorious in doubles play. On April 1, the Lady Eagles defeated John Brown 8-1. The men’s team lost 2-5. On April 2, the Eagles were victorious 4-3 over Lyon College. The women’s team lost 2-7. The men’s and women’s team will resume American Southwest Conference action on April 13 in matches against LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
