Clarksville, Ark.-Sul Ross State University pounded out 25 hits in a 19-3 win Sunday to take three-game from the Eagles in American Southwest Conference cross-over action.

The Sul Ross State (7-4) bats recorded nine hits through three innings and the Ozarks’ defense struggled in the field as it committed two errors during that span. A five-run second and a three-run third gave the Lobos an 8-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third. The Eagles (3-7) manufactured a pair of runs on RBI by Zac Mitchell and Jacob Robbins to make it 8-2. Sul Ross, however, added four runs in the fourth to take a commanding 12-2 advantage. Another four-run inning for Sul Ross came in the seventh, making an Ozarks’ comeback difficult.

The Lobos tagged five Ozarks’ pitchers for four doubles and two homers during the game.

Travis Conner (0-3) started and suffered the loss after tossing two and two-third innings.

Cory Briggs went 2-for-2 and Jonathan Cox finished 2-for-3.

Ozarks will host Clarke College March 2 in a double-header starting at 12:00 p.m.
