The exhibit features experimental landscapes, detailed portraits and bold abstractions. This year’s exhibit was selected by renowned watercolor artist Dean Mitchell. The Arkansas Arts Center curators selected these 19 artworks to circulate as part of the State Services Traveling Exhibition program.

Mid-Southern Watercolorists was founded in Little Rock in 1970 by five artists. The group was founded with the goal of elevating the stature of watercolor as an important creative and permanent painting medium. For more information about the organization, visit www.midsouthernwatercolorists.com

The exhibit will run from through Oct. 29 in the Walton Fine Arts Center’s Stephens Gallery. The exhibit is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. For more information, please contact at the university at 479-979-1349.
