Clarksville, Ark. -- The SIFE and PBL Distinguished Speaker Series will feature Mr. Joe Allbright as the series' first speaker for 2010-2011.
Mr. Joe Allbright, Vice President of International Real Estate for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., will open the 2010-2011 Distinguished Speaker Series.
Mr. Allbright currently serves as the Vice President of International Real Estate for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. In this capacity, he is responsible for Wal-Mart’s International Organic Real Estate Growth Program. His presentation, entitled "International Growth: Opportunities, Risk, and Culture" will take place on Thursday, September 16 at 11:00 am in the Baldor Auditorium on the university campus.
Mr. Allbright joined Wal-Mart in 1991 as a Staff Auditor with the Internal Audit Department and has served in a variety of roles in the U.S. and abroad. In 2008, he and his family returned to Bentonville, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Development – Emerging Markets.
Mr. Allbright holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from Hendrix College, in Conway, Arkansas.
The SIFE and PBL Distinguished Speaker Series invites outstanding business leaders to the Ozarks campus to share business information and comments. In the past, speakers have addressed topics related to business ethics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, success skills, and/or market economics. Previous speakers have included Mrs. Helen Walton (Wal-Mart), Mr. John Meyer (ACXIOM), and Mr. Christopher Stemen (ARAMARK).
