Shewmaker is SIFE’s March Distinguished Speaker

Clarksville, Ark. -- Former Wal-Mart President and Chief Operating Officer Jack Shewmaker spoke to students, faculty and staff at the University of the Ozarks on March 13 as part of the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Distinguished Speaker Series.

Shewmaker, who spoke about his years with Wal-Mart and his affiliation with SIFE, was presented with the university’s Business Person of the Year Award following his talk.  In addition, Clarksville Mayor Billy Helms proclaimed March 13 as "Jack Shewmaker Day" in the city of Clarksville.
