Reception to meet president-elect Dunsworth set for April 27

There will be a reception for the Johnson County community to meet University of the Ozarks' incoming president Richard L. "Rich" Dunsworth and his family on Saturday, April 27.

The reception will be held from 1-3 p.m. in the Rogers Conference Center on campus. The public is encouraged to attend.

Dunsworth, who has worked at Millikin University in Illinois since 1991, was selected as the 25th president by the U of O Board of Trustees in October. He will officially begin his duties at Ozarks on July 1.

Dunsworth served as interim president at Millikin from January through early April of this year. From 2004 to 2012 he was vice president for enrollment at the Decatur, Illinois, university.

A native of Colorado, Dunsworth has a juris doctorate from the University of Illinois. As vice president of enrollment at Millikin, he oversaw numerous departments, including admission, athletics, financial aid, institutional research, marketing, media relations and student development.

He and his wife, Holly, have three children.
