Quartet San Francisco to present concert Nov. 6

Clarksville, Ark. --- Quartet San Francisco will perform a concert at University of the Ozarks at 7 p.m., Thursday Nov. 6, as part of the university's 2008-2009 Walton Arts & Ideas Series.

The concert will be held in the Walton Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in the box office before the performance or by calling 479-979-1346.

Quartet San Francisco is two-time Grammy-nominated group made up of violinists Jeremy Cohen and Kayo Miki, violist Keith Lawrence and cellist Joel Cohen. As crossover specialists, they excel in multiple styles --- from jazz to tango, pop to funk, blues to bluegrass, gypsy swing to big band, and beyond.

Since its concert debut in 2001, Quartet San Francisco has offered exclusive and ground-breaking literature to local, national and international audiences in a variety of venues. In 2001 the quartet began its on-stage collaboration with tango dancers and in 2004 it won the International Tango competition.
