PBL/Enactus inducts officers, new members

The joint student business organization PBL/Enactus inducted its officers and new members for the 2014-15 academic year during a special ceremony held recently in the Trustee Room of the Robson Library.

Seniors Andrea Chamorro of Managua, Nicaragua, and Catalina Chen of San Jose, Costa Rica, were elected co-presidents of the organization. Chamorro will head up the Enactus branch of the organization and Chen will lead the PBL branch.

The officers were elected last spring and were formally inducted during the Nov. 24 ceremony, as were the new members of the organization. U of O Director of Athletics Jimmy Clark was the keynote speaker during the ceremony.

Other officers who were inducted included, Gabriela Pandeli as secretary and Phillip Jenkins as treasurer and membership director.

Six vice presidents in charge of various areas and responsibilities were also inducted: Debora Castor as VP for marketing, Lilliam Lopez as VP for entrepreneurship, Daniel Valencia as VP of connections (networking), Brianny Pupo as VP of professional development, Andrea Villafranca as VP of community outreach and Mandy Paz as VP of competitive events.
