Clarksville, Ark. ---The musical band Claddagh Ring will perform "A Celebration of Celtic Music" at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 25, as part of the University of the Ozarks' 2001-2002 Walton Arts & Ideas Series.

Tickets for the performance, which will be held in Ozarks’ Walton Fine Arts Center, are $10 each and be purchased by calling (479) 979-1349. "A Celebration of Celtic Music" is a musical tour of the Emerald Isle. The performance will showcase a variety of old, familiar Irish tunes as well as some lesser known jewels, according to the band’s news release. Formed in 1991, the Wichita, Kansas-based Claddagh Ring has been described as a truly unique band. Reviews have said: "The seemingly limitless combinations of voice, instrumentation and musical selection is a delight to the spirit. The interchangeability of instruments, including the traditional penny whistles, bodhran, accordion and cello, give the group the benefit of exploring all the various musical backgrounds that each member brings to the group for unique arrangements and sound quality."
