Conway, Ark.-Ozarks opened the 2012 spring season in the Hendrix College Invitational on Saturday against a pair of non-conference opponents.
Ozarks faced John Brown University in its first match of the season. The Eagles took a 9-0 win while the Lady Eagles suffered a 2-7 loss. Ozarks then played host team Hendrix College Saturday evening. The women lost 5-1 to Hendrix, but the men recorded a 5-4 victory. Whitney Lewis and Megan Wallace posted a doubles win against Hendrix. Freshmen Todd Turner, Bishop Bass, Corey Dillard and Gregg Knaggs had singles’ wins. Turner and Bass teamed up for a doubles win.
Ozarks will host American Southwest Conference opponent Mississippi College February 18.
