Ozarks Answers Early, Heidelberg Roars Back

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team evened the score early in Sunday's contest, but Heidelberg scored three other first half goals to earn a 5-1 win over the Lady Eagles in Memphis, Tennessee.

Heidelberg (1-1-0) scored in the 13th minute, but Ozarks (0-3-0) tied the match 1-1 when Kristi Gordon answered with a goal in the 14th minute. But Heidelberg then added three goals before the half and one more early in the second half to put the match out of reach.

Ozarks goalkeeper Morgan O’Neil had 12 saves.

Ozarks will face Central Baptist College September 7 in Conway at Centennial Park.
