CLARKSVILLE, Ark. ---Four new members have recently been added to the University of the Ozarks Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Paulette (VandenNieuwenhof) Binkley of Russellville, Bo Funderburk of Clarksville, Dr. Brian Cotner of Clarksville and Ronnie Johnson of Clarksville were elected to the alumni board in April and began their three-year terms on July 1. "This group brings a lot of talent and energy to the board," said Director of Alumni Relations Reba Pridgin. "They bring diverse backgrounds and occupations to the board, and their past involvement with the university show that they have the best interest of Ozarks at heart." Binkley, a 1980 graduate, is owner and president of Primo Solutions, an independent consulting agency for sales, marketing and advertising. She is an elder at Central Presbyterian Church in Russellville, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and communications chair for the American Heart Association. She has volunteered for the Arkansas River Valley United Way, the River Valley Boys and Girls Club and the American Heartwalk. Her husband, Drew, is also an Ozarks alumnus and their daughter, Anneke, is a sophomore at Ozarks. Funderburk, a 2000 graduate, is the coordinator of recreational activities at Ozarks. A native of Mississippi, Funderburk played baseball at Ozarks. He has been active in coaching youth baseball in the Clarksville area. Cotner, a 1990 Ozarks graduate, is a medical doctor at Family Practice Associates of Clarksville. A graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Cotner serves as chairman of the Continuing Medical Education Committee at Johnson Regional Medical Center. Cotner has done volunteer work for the Interfaith Clinic in El Dorado. He and his wife Laura, also an Ozarks graduate, have three children. Johnson, who earned a degree in business administration from Ozarks in 1974, has been an administrator at the Clarksville Convalescent Home since 1974. He received a Nursing Home Administrator License in 1973 and a master’s of arts degree in gerontology from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in 1994. Johnson, whose wife Carrie is an Ozarks graduate, previously served on the alumni board. They have a daughter, Kelly, who is a freshman at U of O.
