The music ensembles at University of the Ozarks will present their annual Christmas concert, Lessons and Carols, at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, in Raymond Munger Memorial Chapel.

The event, which will feature Bible scripture readings and Christmas carols and anthems, is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Walton Professor of Music and University Organist Dr. Sharon Gorman, the concert will feature the University’s Chamber Singers and Chapel Choir. University Chaplain Rev. Elizabeth Gabbard will lead the service and members of the campus community will read scripture.

Among the songs that are scheduled to be performed include, "What Child is This?" "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Benedictus (Blessed is the Lord)" and "At The Manger Mary Sings," by Dr. Sharon Gorman. There will also be a special rendition of "Silent Night" as candles are lit throughout the chapel.

For more information on Lesson and Carols, please contact Rev. Gabbard at 979-1307.
