Missouri professor is featured artist at U of O

Clarksville, Ark. --- Naomi Sugino, an art professor at Columbia College in Missouri, will present an art exhibit during the month of February in the University of the Ozarks' Stephens Gallery. The title of her show is "Unseen Spaces."

Sugino, who earned her MFA from Wichita State University, teaches drawing and painting courses at Columbia College. Her work has been exhibited in several regional and national exhibitions. She recently participated in a restoration project in which she painted an addition to an existing mural on the dome of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis, Kan. There will be a reception to meet the artist from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Stephens Gallery. The exhibit will be available for public viewing from Feb. 2 to Feb. 28, in the gallery, which is located in the Walton Fine Arts Center on the north side of campus.
