Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles suffered a pair of run-rule losses at the hands of Mississippi College Friday in American Southwest Conference play.
In game one, Mississippi College (21-7, 9-5 ASC) threw a one-hitter to pick up a 10-0 shutout in five innings.
Mississippi College set the tone early by scoring seven runs in the first frame. Casey Mays broke up the no-hitter with a leadoff single in the top of the fifth.
Arlisa Arwood (2-6) took the loss.
In game two, Mississippi College did most of their damage in the middle innings of the game to earn a 11-1 win. Ozarks (6-28, 0-18 ASC) tied the game, 1-1, in the second after Arwood doubled in Kelsey Mefford.
Ali Mathis was Ozarks top hitter, going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Kaci Foster (0-4) took the loss as the starter.
Ozarks concludes its four-game series with the Choctaws today in a double-header at noon.
