Belton, Texas-Mary Hardin-Baylor stunned the Lady Eagles after the Crusaders scored the game-winning goal in the 104th minute Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (1-13-0, 1-8-0 ASC) played one of its best matches of the season and the score showed as the Lady Eagles took the contest down to the wire. The Lady Eagles’ offense pressured Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-5-1, 3-4-1 ASC) throughout the day as they forced the Crusader goalkeepers to make four saves. Freshman Haley Gilliam scored for Ozarks in the 59th minute on an assist from Kristen Callahan. But Mary Hardin-Baylor would tie the match in the 68th minute. After a tough final 32 minutes of play, the Lady Eagles would extend the match into overtime. Ozarks held off the Crusaders in the first overtime, but the home team eventually netted the game-winner early in the second overtime.

Ozarks had six shots in the match.

Ozarks will host UT-Dallas October 20.
