Clarksville, Ark.-University of Mary Hardin-Baylor scored the match?s only goal in the first half to pull away from the Lady Eagles 1-0 Saturday in American Southwest Conference action.
Ozarks (6-10-0, 1-6-0 ASC) played tough defense to hang tough with the Crusaders (11-2-0, 5-2-0 ASC) throughout the match, but the visitors scored the game-winner in the 10th minute. Ozarks goalkeeper Codie Freeman fought off 16 shots and recorded six saves in the loss. Ozarks was unable to score any goals, but did put pressure on the Crusader defense on a number of occasions. Following the match, Monica Seiler was honored as part of “Senior Day” for Ozarks.
Ozarks will have three road matches to end the regular season. The Lady Eagles will play Mississippi College October 24, Louisiana College October 25 and Texas-Dallas November 2.
