Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's soccer team and the Lyon College Scots played 110:00 minutes of scoreless action in a non-conference match in Batesville on Tuesday.
Brian Sarber’s efforts in goal helped the Eagles (7-1-2, 3-0-1) spur off two potential Lyon (7-4-1) goals. Sarber recorded a save off a penalty kick in both the first and second half. It was the second time in the past three matches the Eagles have ended in a 0-0 tie. ????? "I’m proud of our guys outstanding effort in a very adverse situation," said head coach Dave De Hart. "Of course the result of the match was helped by the lack of tactical moves from our opponent that would have exploited our two man down situation." ????? The Eagles recorded 14 shots in the match. Ryan Skelly led the team with four shots. Sarber ended the match with ten saves. ????? Ozarks will travel to Clinton, Mississippi, to face Mississippi College on October 7 and Pineville, Louisiana, to face Louisiana College on October 8 in American Southwest Conference play.
