Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O softball team dropped four games to American Southwest Conference opponent Louisiana College over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles (14-13, 6-10) fell 11-0 and 11-1 on April 5. Leigh Thompson, who is leading the conference with a .458 batting average, had two hits in the second game. In Saturday’s contests, the Lady Eagles were defeated 13-0 and 2-0. In the 2-0 loss, the Lady Eagles totaled 4 hits and pitcher Amanda Luney gave up 6 hits and only one earned run. “In our last few ballgames, we have made too many errors and beat ourselves,” said head coach Jon Janssen. “When you give away outs to a team like Louisiana College, they are going to take advantage of that. We just made too many errors at critical times.” The Lady Eagles will play Mississippi College at home on March 12 and 13 in ASC action. Friday’s double-header will start at 2 p.m. with Saturday’s double-header will begin at 11 a.m.
