Albert Leding has been named the new controller at University of the Ozarks. He began his duties on July 5.
Albert Leding has been named controller at University of the Ozarks.
A 1984 graduate of Ozarks, Leding is responsible for managing the daily operations of the university’s business office. His responsibilities include department staff supervision, general accounting, budget control and reporting, financial reporting, internal auditing, student receivables, accounts payable and treasury management.
Leding served with the Arkansas Legislative Audit for the past 32 years, including the last eight years as field audit supervisor. He was a field auditor for the agency for 19 years and an audit review specialist for five years.
In addition to receiving a BS in accounting and business administration from Ozarks, Leding has earned both his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) licensures.
He and his wife of 34 years, Janet, live on a farm in Altus that has been in his family since the 1880s. Along with his father and brother, he operates a grape farm with approximately 25 acres in production. He and his wife have four sons and five grandchildren.
Leding’s brother, Rickey, is also a 1984 graduate of Ozarks and has a CPA practice in Ozark, Ark.
