Lady Eagles Suffer 83-72 Setback

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks Lady Eagles were handed a 83-72 loss at the hands of Louisiana College on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (1-16, 1-11) trailed 29-16 at the half, and couldn’t make any headway in the final twenty minutes as Louisiana College (10-7, 6-6) held a double-digit advantage for the entire second half. Ozarks first and second halves mirrored in opposites as the Lady Eagles hit only 20 percent of their shots in the first twenty minutes, but hit 58 percent in the second half. Neither team took care of the ball very well as there were a combined 56 miscues in the game.

Erica Eneks led Ozarks with 18 points. Kayla Quertermous added 11 points. Olivia Fisher had 15 rebounds, including 14 on the defensive end.

Ozarks will travel to UT-Tyler on January 31 and then go to UT-Dallas on February 4.
