Lady Eagles Fall To Austin College

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles dropped a 72-40 decision to Austin College in American Southwest Conference East Division play in Sherman, Texas, on Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles (8-15, 4-8) were unable to overcome a 43-23 halftime deficit and went to the free throw line only 8 times as Austin College (16-7, 10-2) picked up the win. Austin College took advantage of its 28 free throw opportunities by hitting 21 of those and holding the Lady Eagles to a 32 percent shooting clip from the field in the contest. Mandi Carter and Becky Kimball each scored 6 points to lead Ozarks. Carter and Jenna Corbell had 4 rebounds apiece. Ozarks ends the season this week when they host UT-Tyler on Thursday and UT-Dallas on Saturday.
