Clarksville, Ark.-Salt Lake City native Jeremy Bernard has been named Head Women's Soccer Coach at the University of the Ozarks.

Bernard, a 1994 graduate of East High School, will also serve as the assistant men’s coach at Ozarks. “We are very happy to have Jeremy work in this capacity for us,” said Athletics Director Jack Jones. “While Jeremy will be one of the youngest head coaches we have ever had our athletic program, I am confidant that he will be able to excel in this role. He brings in two years of experience as a collegiate assistant coach and also played collegiate soccer. We are excited to have him.” Bernard, 25, played collegiate soccer at Montana State University during the1998-1999 season. He has coached the Salt Lake City Firebirds for the past 8 years and has led them to several state championships. He was also the men’s assistant coach at Ozarks last year. “I feel like this is a chance for me to get my feet in the door as a Head Coach,” said Bernard. “The team has a lot of potential and the incoming freshmen class is very good. The girls are excited to begin the season.”
