Clarksville, Ark.- The men's cross country team finished second behind four top-10 individual finishes at the Lyon College Invitational Thursday in Batesville.
Ozarks was one of six teams to participate in the men’s and women’s meet. David James was second overall in the men’s 8K running a 29:22.61. Henderson State’s Gabriel Ghioca won the race with a time of 28:35.72. Three other Eagles finished in the top-10. Tristan Cooper (31:39.43), Jeremy Provence (31:47.29) and Trent Ueunten (35:25.43), finished fifth, sixth and ninth, respectively.
The women’s team finished fourth at the meet. Tadera Garland led Ozarks with a 11th place finish in the 5K. Garland ran a time of 24:25.18.
Ozarks will travel to Searcy to run in the Harding Bison Stampede October 10.
