The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Glenn, Briggs Pace Eagles In 14-7 Win

Clarksville, Ark.-John Glenn and Cory Briggs both went 4-for-6 as the Eagles pounded out 18 hits in a 14-7 win over Ecclesia College on Tuesday afternoon at Lonnie R. Qualls Field.

Ozarks (4-1, 0-0 ASC) scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the first. After Hank Rogers blasted his first collegiate home run in the third, the Eagles held a 7-0 lead going into the fourth. Ecclesia (0-4), however, answered with seven runs in the top of the fourth to tie the game. Ozarks had a big inning in their next at bat, with Briggs leading off with a triple. Robby Finnell followed with a two-run shot over the left field fence. The Eagles added three more runs to end the bottom of the fourth with a 12-7 lead.

Robert Mummey (1-0) picked up his first win of the season. He struck out two in two and one-third innings. Logan Kizer received the save.

Glenn and Briggs each had an RBI. Brad Broussard went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI. Rogers finished 2-for-5 with 4 RBI. Briggs and Jeremy Hogan had three runs.

Ozarks will travel to Kerrville, Texas, to face Schreiner University in their American Southwest Conference opener this weekend. Friday’s nine-inning game will start at 2:00 p.m. Saturday’s double-header will start at 12:00 p.m.
