Freddy Prince Named To D3Baseball.com All-Region Team

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks junior right fielder Freddy Prince was named to the 2013 D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team, it was announced Monday by D3baseball.com managing editor Jim Dixon.

Prince, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound native of Jonesboro, Ark., was named to the American Southwest Conference All-East Division First Team this season. Prince, who won the ASC’s batting title with a .406 average, also led the league in hits with 63. Prince posted his best season as an Eagle leading the team in hits, average, total bases (77), slugging percentage (.497) and on-base percentage (.466). He finished second in doubles (11) and runs (27), and third in RBI (22).

Prince had a team-best 20 multiple-hit games and owned a 13-game hit streak during the season. He posted six three-hit games and went 5-for-6 with three RBI against nationally-ranked Texas-Tyler on March 29.

The All-Region team consists of three teams and was voted on by Sports Information Directors from the D3Baseball.com West region.
