Four Honored By Athletic Department

Clarksville, Ark.-Four members of the campus community were honored on April 3 by the University of the Ozarks athletic department as part of the NCAA's month-long National STUDENT-Athlete Day celebration.

<#IMAGE:1#>The four were chosen by Ozarks’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SACC) for their outstanding support and contributions to Ozarks’ student-athletes. The honorees were Johnny Robinson, ARAMARK Food Services Director; Kay Merritt, Manager of Founders Bookstore and Cheerleading Coach; Deborah Sisson, Assistant Professor of Business & Accounting; and Larry Isch, Director of University and Public Relations. National STUDENT-Athlete Day honors student-athletes and the network of parents, coaches, teachers and school systems that make it possible for young people to strike a balance between academic and athletic achievement. The day, established by the National Consortium for Academics & Sports and Northeastern University’s Center for the Study of Sport in Society, is co-sponsored by the NCAA and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
