Have you ever dreamed about making your own movie? Or are you already an experience film-making amateur? Whatever your movie-making experience, the Ozarks 48-Hour Film Project just might be the perfect chance to show off your talents!

The Ozarks 48-Hour Film Project is exactly what the name implies…it is a crazy and sleepless weekend when teams will write, shoot, edit, and score an original movie in just 48 hours.

Interested? The first step is to organize your team, all of whom must be volunteers. You may use actors or crew from the community, but the Team Captain must be a student, faculty, or staff member from the University. On Friday night, November 18, each team will draw for a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre. The film must include all of the elements drawn by your team.

That’s the fun part! 48 hours later, the movie must be done, finished, FINITO! The films will be screened that week, and each team will be vying for the title of the first Ozarks 48-Hour Film Champion [of the World], as well as a number of other prizes.

Teams are admitted to the competition on a first-come, first-served basis, so register soon to ensure your team receives a spot in the competition.

To request a registration packet, which includes a complete list of rules and regulations and an entry form, email Tanner Holman at tholm815@ozarks.edu. The registration deadline is Sunday, November 13, at 11:59 pm.
