Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O baseball team dropped three games last week.

The Eagles (1-9, 0-5) were defeated by Harding University 13-2 on February 27. Freshman catcher Clint Phifer led Ozarks with two hits. Cliff Ford, Jeremy Claunch, John Burgess and Heath Swiney each recorded one hit apiece. Howard Payne University took two games from the Eagles on March 1 in American Southwest Conference action. In the first game, the score was notched at 3-3 going into the fifth inning, but HPU would score 2 runs in the fifth and 3 runs in the sixth. Shawn Adams paced the Eagles with three hits and one run. Cody Gebhart and Chris Harrell each recorded two hits apiece. HPU defeated the Eagles 12-0 in the second game. "Our pitching has been good and our defense has been solid," said head coach Jimmy Clark. "We are struggling hitting the ball right now. If we can get over the hump, we have a chance to put together a string of wins."
