Clinton, Miss.-The Eagles posted a 7-2 game two win to earn a split Saturday against Mississippi College in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (17-23, 4-14 ASC) needed a big ninth inning and the Eagles did just that as five runners crossed the plate. With the score tied 1-1 heading into the ninth, Mississippi College (17-21, 7-11 ASC) attempted to intentionally walk Peyton Johnigan, but pitcher Luke Hargett threw it in the dirt past the catcher and Dean Igert scored the first of five runs. Sam Shook then delivered a bases clearing double to put Ozarks in front 6-2. Ozarks generated its final run of the game on a sacrifice RBI by Freddy Prince.

Ian Bryan (3-2) tossed eight innings and struck out four to receive the win.

Shook finished 3-for-5 with three RBI.

In game one Saturday, Ozarks suffered a disappointing 4-3 setback after Mississippi College scored the game-winning run in the seventh on an error.

The Choctaws held a 3-0 lead until the top of the seventh when Ozarks plated three runs on five hits. Shook recorded an RBI and Mitchell Powers had a big two-run single to tie the contest.

Powers finished 3-for-3 and Prince went 4-for-4.

Bo Thomas (3-1) took the loss in relief.
