Clarksville, Ark.-Heather Dryden broke open a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 63rd minute to propel the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Louisiana College in American Southwest Conference play on Friday afternoon.

Ozarks (5-3-2, 2-2-0) trailed 1-0 when Louisiana College’s Hannah Haddock scored in the 19th minute. It wouldn’t be long, however, as Laura Spruiell found the back of the net in the 24th minute. Amanda Bohon received the assist. With the score tied at 1-1, Dryden scored her third goal of the season to give Ozarks a lead they would never relinquish. The 5-foot-5 freshman midfielder from Plano, Texas, scored from 10 yards out on an assist from Bohon. Kristyn Shinn added a goal in the 80th minute to secure the Lady Eagles second conference victory of the season.<#IMAGE:1#> Ozarks recorded 17 shots on the day, while holding the Lady Wildcats (1-5-1, 1-4-0) to just 3.
