Clarksville, Ark. --- University of the Ozarks President Dr. Rick Niece has been named the 2003 District IV Chief Executive of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications and development. CASE District IV is comprised of Mexico, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Dr. Niece was presented the award during the district’s annual conference, held April 10-13 in Little Rock. In announcing the award, CASE officials lauded Ozarks’ enrollment and fund-raising success under Niece’s leadership. "I am truly honored to be recognized by CASE," Niece said. "CASE is the gold standard of excellence in higher education, and their recognition means a great deal to me. However, any awards that I receive, especially in regard to leadership, fund raising, and establishing a vision for Ozarks, are a tribute to the many caring people on our campus. They deserve the recognition as much, if not more, than I do. I am privileged to be able to represent Ozarks, and I am proud of our continuing regional and national recognition."
