CLARKSVILLE, Ark. --- University of the Ozarks faculty member Dr. Sharon Gorman will display her exhibition of landscape photography during the month of February in the Stephens Gallery on the U of O campus.

Entitled "Landscapes of the West," the exhibit features photographs from the southwestern deserts of the United States as well as the desert, mountains and coastal regions of California. Dr. Gorman has taught in the music department at U of O since 1996. She holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from Stanford University and two organ performance degrees from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. Dr. Gorman took up hiking while living in California and from this activity grew her passion for photography. She said the works in the exhibit were chosen specifically to highlight settings that would be unfamiliar to most Arkansans. The exhibit is free and open to the public. A reception at which members of the community may meet the photographer will be held at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 22, in the gallery, which is located in the Walton Fine Arts Center on the north end of campus.
