Clarksville, Ark.-The men?s and women?s cross country teams opened the 2013 season at the Arkansas Tech Invitational Saturday morning.
The men’s team finished second in the 8K run behind Southern Arkansas University. Ryan Holt finished fourth overall with a time of 27:23.3. Matt Friant finished 18th overall with a 29:50.2 time. Calvin Jones was 22nd with a time of 31:26.8. Robert Elder (35:06.1), Max Hilgendorf (37:30.7), Samuel Binns (37:30.7) and Trevor Lester (37:30.8) rounded out Ozarks’ runners.
The women’s team had four runners finish the 5K race, with Kara Willbanks placing 39th overall with a 23:27.2 time. Ellery Mayleben (26:14.5), Seanan Heaney (26:50.0) and Emily Gorham (27:46.5) rounded out Ozarks’ runners.
