Clarksville, Ark.-U of O freshman catcher Clint Phifer was named American Southwest Conference Hitter of the Week, announced by the league office.
Phifer was named Hitter of the Week following his performance in three recent road games. Phifer, a native of Benton, hit .667 over three games, going 8-for-12, with four runs and five runs batted in. Phifer was a perfect 4-for-4 powering two home runs for three RBI in the Eagles’ 16-5 win at Mid-American Bible College on February 15. He also had one stolen base over the three game span. The Eagles are currently 1-2 overall.
