Clinton, Miss.-Mississippi College jumped out to a 23-9 lead to start the game and never slowed down as the Eagles suffered a 86-64 setback in American Southwest Conference play Thursday night.
The Choctaws (9-6, 6-4 ASC) made 18 field goals in the first half while limiting Ozarks (5-11, 3-8 ASC) to just eight. Mississippi College held a 21-point lead at the midway point of the first half and went into intermission with a 43-24 advantage.
Things didn’t get any better for Ozarks in the second half as Mississippi College held a comfortable double-digit lead throughout the final twenty minutes.
Joshua Clark scored 18 points off the bench behind a 3-of-6 performance from the three-point line. Marcus Bobb added 17 points and Dylan Ballard scored 12.
Ozarks will travel to Pineville, La., to play Louisiana College Saturday.
