Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University's basket at the buzzer lifted the LadyJackets to a 93-92 overtime win over the University of the Ozarks Lady Eagles on Saturday in Longview, Texas.
With Ozarks leading 92-91 and only one second on the clock, LeTourneau’s Denee McKay rebounded a missed free throw by teammate Marissa Coop and promptly followed with a shot underneath the basket for the game-winner. It was LeTourneau’s fourth conference win of the season. Regulation ended in a 84-84 tie, with LeTourneau scoring first in the overtime period. Ozarks, however, held a four-point lead on two different occasions, only to see the advantage slip away. LeTourneau canned 16-of-33 (48%) from the three-point line in the contest. Mandi Carter had perhaps her most dominating performance of the season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 19 rebounds while collecting 6 blocks and 5 assists. Lindsey Nietert led the team with 25 points and LaTisha McCalister followed with 18 points.
