Students design corporate marketing plan.

CLARKSVILLE, ARK. (Nov. 13, 2006) -- Ozarks’ chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) placed third runner-among 16 student teams in a business skills competition held November 9-11 at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. Competing teams had just 36 hours to come up with a corporate marketing campaign for Southern Aluminum, a Magnolia-based manufacturer of folding tables. "We entitled (our) campaign "Keep it simple, keep it light," wrote Alis Perdomo, a member of the Ozarks team, adding that the campaign "Makes customers aware of the feasibility, quality and versatility of the products in comparison to other folding tables." Perdomo added that the Ozarks team emphasized several different models of tables in their marketing campaign, and also demonstrated the qualities of the tables in settings in which they might be used. Competing teams were also required to design a tradeshow booth and analyze Southern Aluminum’s web site.
